For the most part, clogging is made up of basic movements (such as double, heel, stomp, etc.) which are grouped together into two, four, and eight count steps. Putting these steps in combinations with music creates the vast number of routines that are performed by cloggers.
Beginner Cloggers Having fun trying out steps

Our beginner and advanced beginner classes revolve around teaching some of the most common steps in clogging. The beginner steps use primarily double-step and rock-step, while the advanced beginner steps incorporate a variety of other movements. Learning the basic steps is very important since these steps provide the foundation for more advanced clogging.
